    Description

This Super Duckbill Bird Mask is another example of the artist talent in Panama. Look at the blending of chunga fiber.  I call this fantasy bird a Mohawk because of his haircut.  These masks are made by the same artists that make the famous Panama baskets.
I remember when they first appeared in Panama. I was amazed at the dexterity of the artists. Their weaving abilities were evident in their baskets but their ability to expand their weaving to figures was extraordinary. Today they weave masks large enough to dominate a wall.
A collection of 5-6 of these smaller masks can turn a wall into a piece of the rainforest.
It measures 9" from the beak to the back of the head and stands about 5" tall.
    A one-of-a-kind work of art.
Shipping is included within the USA.
