    Description

    A beautiful example of Wounaan (Panama Indian tribe) basket.   The Wounaan weavers are thought by many to be the finest in the world.  The art has been perfected since there is now a worldwide market for these collectible masterpieces, and the women can weave full time.  Natural split palm fibers (same as Panama hats) native dyes, and lots and lots of work.
    This is a beautiful example I count 10 colors in this one.  Small diamond shapes with tiny stitches.  A beautiful piece of art.
