Large Vintage Folk Art, Swamp Crocodile
    17" x 14.5"
This is a vintage mola created by the Kuna Tribe from San Blas, Panama. It is very intricate stitching by hand, that can take up to two months to create. This is an unusual geometric motif, with swamp designs of flora and fauna featuring a crocodile with multitude of colors. A bright green outlines the crocodile. Red, orange, yellow, blue, turquoise green, purple, pink all outlined in black. It is stitched on a burgundy fabric, with an olive green fabric backing shown in the second picture.
This would be an excellent example for Art Teachers to show their students. My daughter says it iS a crocodile in a swamp, but ask your students what they see.
    Stunning Colors! Beautiful Framed!
