Rare Antique Brass Suez Canal Cargo Displacement Plaque
in good shape as pictured.
Plaque would have been stationed in cargo hold of a US merchant vessel to identify non-commercial ship's gear exempted from canal passage fees.
Solid brass casting with overall plate dimensions:
Height 12" X Width 12".
Plate is in good original condition with only some minor remnants of red paint noted. Plate is mounted on a wood backboard and is ready to hang as pictured.
