This is a sterling silver onyx and crystal quartz necklace and earring set. The necklace is about 18" long. The necklace has a lobster claw closure. The earrings are for pierced ears and are about from the top of the hooks 1 3/4" x 7/16". The earrings are crystal quartz and black crystal bicones.
Black onyx is the anniversary gemstone for the 7th year of marriage. It is the birthstone for the Leo Zodiac sign.
Onyx is a variety of silicate mineral chalcedony. It is in the group of quartz. It chemical composition is silicon dioxide with carbon and iron with a hardness of 6.6 to 7.
It is found in Canada, Mexico, Russia, India and Brazil.
Black onyx is sought after for its metaphysical properties.
