    Description

    This Kuna Mola measures about 20" x 13.5".
    Folks, some time ago I bought a box of molas from the children of missionaries that served in the San Blas Islands in the 1950-1960 period. The Islands are home to the Kuna mola artists so of course they became collectors.
    This mola is in superb condition for its age. Folks, the colors are really bright which tells me these molas were stored in a dark place. That's not unusual because molas are usually stored stacked one on the other.
    This design reminds me of my favorite seafood. I see this mola in a seafood restaurant, maybe Red Lobster.
    This mola was once part of a Kuna mola blouse. The ribbon across the bottom tells me so.
    Look at the stitching on the reverse side. There is a lot of time in this mola.
