    This is a lampwork starfish  chain necklace with turtle and pearls. The necklace is about 18 1/2" long. The necklace has a spring ring closure.
    Lampwork is created by a lamp or torch used to melt many types of glass. Lampwork is an ancient craft and dates back to the 5th century BC. Lampwork was used extensively in Murano Italy since the 14th Century. In ancient times it was was blown and shaped in its molten state. In modern times  a torch is used.
