This is a cultured freshwater pearl bracelet with lampwork and crystal. The bracelet is approximately 7 3/4" long .
Lampwork is created by a lamp or torch used to melt many types of glass. Lampwork is an ancient craft and dates back to the 5th century BC. Lampwork was used extensively in Murano Italy since the 14th Century. In  times gone by it  was blown and shaped in its molten state. In modern times  a torch is used. It is used to make beads, ornaments, Christmas decorations and paperweights.
Jewelry styles come and go, but pearl jewelry is timeless. Freshwater cultured pears are created by mussels and are mostly farmed in China. The mussels are mostly nucleated, but a newer method of a bead being introduced is being used in order for bigger sized pearls to be produced. The pearls are available in several colors from white, cream, pink, orange and pastel colors. which can be due to natural cultivation, or they can be treated for many different colors. Pearls are organic and are composed of calcium carbonate and require proper care.
CARE
Store pearls in a velvet or soft material drawstring bag. Close clasps to prevent scratching the pearls. Store away from other jewelry to prevent scratching. Don't store in a plastic bag. Don't hang pearls it could cause stretching. Store flat. Don't store in sunlight or near heat.
Put pearls on after apply cosmetics, hairspray and perfume. Don't wear when doing housework, playing sport, bathing or swimming. Avoid contact with vinegar, fruit juice and detergents..
Don't use harsh chemicals and acid. Don't use an ultrasonic cleaner or jewelry cleaner. Wipe with a soft cloth after wearing to remove perspiration. If using water use only distilled water and dab with a soft cloth and wipe dry. Tap water contains chlorine which is not good for pearls. Don't clean with a brush. Don't stretch pearls when cleaning.
