    This listing is for a wonderful framed mid-century
    Panamanian
    kuna mola
    textile artwork
    depicting birds.
    This would have required an advanced level of skill in the tedious process
    of
    reverse
    applique with its  intricate details so neatly finished.
    The main picture is most representative of it's true colors (for whatever reason my camera or lighting made it look much too white on the close up pictures). Appears to date to around the 1970's.
    There a couple of small holes in fabric (see close-up photos) .
    Fabric is toned from age but no visible stains.
    Bamboo style wood frame has some general surface wear and scratches on the finish but is solid. Backing paper has torn and has some soiling.
    Measures approximately 15 x 20" framed.
