While dolphins, penguins, and a number of other sea mammals practice porpoising (a behavior to increase locomotion by "leaping" from the water) I've never heard of turtles doing this, but this loggerhead seems to be styled in just such an act. Go figure. At least this world coin's design does a good job at showing us a startlingly good image of a sea turtle rendered in a Prism applique on this brilliant proof-like world coin.
