This is a sterling silver carnelian and crystal teardrops bracelet. The bracelet is approximately 6 3/4" long .
Carnelian is a red brown orange silica mineral which is a translucent form of chalcedony quartz with iron oxide. It is mostly a single color but can have lighter and darker coloring in a single stone. It is found in India, Russia, Germany, USA, Southern Africa and Brazil. It has a hardness of 7.
Carnelian is an ancient gemstone dated back to ancient Greek, Roman and Babylonian cultures.
CARE
Although carnelian is a robust gemstone don't wear or store together with harder gemstones to prevent scratching. Ideally store separately and wrap in tissue paper. Do not clean with harsh chemicals. Wipe with a soft cloth. Remove jewelry prior to doing household chores, exercising or swimming. Avoid exposure to intense heat.
