    Description

Back in the 1980's, there was a Christian mission who worked with the Kuna (Guna) Indians of the San Blas
archipelago.  They encouraged the Kuna's to produce their art for sale to generate a income stream to help their society.  The nuns would collect the artwork, travel to places such as Panama City and sell them, which is how we came into possession of this duck - yes, it's a duck.  I would've thought some other kind of bird.  But, that's what the documentation shows.  "Pato" is Spanish for duck.  I don't know if the cooperative, at least in the form it was in at the time, still exists, or if the mission is still an active.
It's in great shape.  No tears, stains, or other blemishes.  It's approximately 11" by 7".
