    Description

Offered here is an antique Chinese New Year's parade dragon head mask.
Primitively made of papier mache and rattan.
The head is hand painted mostly with enameled paint.
It has googly celluloid antennae coming from the nose area.
Under the human face there is a mouth that drops down with a string beard.
Eye lids are a silk fabric over celluloid covered eyes.  There is a mechanism inside the head that bats the eye lids.
There is a metal disc in the middle of the forehead and a horn growing out of the top of the head.  He also has ears near the horn.
He trimmed in some type of real fur.  Some will need to be reglued.
It is roughly 16 x 15 x 11 inches not including the drop down mouth.
The inside has paper with Chinese alphabet characters- see last picture.
Paper is starting to peel inside.  It is all original and is fragile.
